 PRESS RELEASE

For its Carte blanche 2024, the Aquarium de Paris welcomes Japanese artist Namiko.

After exhibiting her work in a number of aquariums in her homeland, Namiko has set up shop in the Trocadéro gardens, installing more than 200 pieces in multiple formats along the Aquarium route.

As an illustrator of marine life, Namiko has created drawings of over a hundred species by assembling niboshi, or "dried sardines". Indeed, each piece is a colorful composition of small fish-like elements or fish eggs.
