With "A Bottle in the Sea", the Aquarium de Paris invites visitors to discover the messages launched by artists, sportsmen and women, associations, celebrities... to preserve the Ocean.
"A bottle to the sea"... Today, this expression has passed into universal language as a metaphor for an SOS or a personal message that we send out in space and time to an unknown recipient who, perhaps, will read it, at an unknown date... It is undoubtedly still today the most poetic and uncertain of all existing media. The Aquarium de Paris, in collaboration with Nathalie Vranken, invited artists, writers, athletes and celebrities to launch their "bottles to the sea" for the Ocean. The aim is to deliver a constructive, positive message highlighting initiatives, projects or actions that protect marine biodiversity. Some twenty messages are presented during the exhibition.
